Galbraith & Co. was specifically established in 2006 to address the burgeoning need for independent expert advice on the business and technological challenges confronting both the public and private sectors around the convergence of content, communications and computing.

The founding partners came from a diverse range of business backgrounds including: senior management; banking; management consulting; government policy; information and communications technology; media; education; and health. At that time it was clear that, regardless of the industry sector, this convergence, epitomised by the impact that the internet was having on both business and personal behaviour, was causing significant challenges to long established and successful business models and that boards and management were seeking a viable strategy to navigate the effects of this disruptive innovation.
